The Beginnings: 

The first services were held in Wamego in 1868.  On May 22,1870, St. Luke’s Mission was organized.    The church building was consecrated in 1900, the bell tower was consecrated in 1921 and the Guild Hall in 1925.  Since those early days St. Luke’s has worshiped and served as a community of the faithful.

Our Clergy:

Fr. Matthew Cobb has accepted the call to serve St. Luke’s beginning in March 2008.  He will also continue to serves as Coordinator of Spiritual Care at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Manhattan, KS.  He and his family moved to Kansas in 2001 when he became the full time Campus Minister to St. Francis’ Canterbury at Kansas State University .  He will be in Wamego Wednesdays, afternoon and evening and on Sundays.
